He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter John Priest and Hattie Orelia Ranson Priest; his daughter Carol Britt; his son-in-law Bob Britt; and his siblings, Catherine Priest Butler Evans, Elvin Priest, Clayton Priest, William Priest and John Priest.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Denson Priest; his daughters, Judy Russell (Dale) of Laurel Hill and Angela Sarvis (Terry) of Mullins, SC; his brothers, James Priest of Florida and Melvin Priest (Anne) of Laurinburg; his grandchildren, Eric Russell (Amanda), Amanda Russell (Perry), Mallory Riley (David) and Rylan Sarvis; and his great grandchildren, James, Alyna, Henry Allan, Diana, Nate, Choie, Michaela, Payton and Kaylee.
