She was predeceased by: her parents, James Weaver "Red" Patterson and Otis Blue Patterson; her granddaughter Brittany Hunt; and her siblings, Henry David Blue and Janice Chavis.
She is survived by: her husband Don Barton; and her children, Reverend Charles Barton (Melissa) of Maxton, Sherry Barton of Maxton and Annette Hodges of Maxton. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
