She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert M. Morgan, Jr. and Evalyn Sellers Morgan; her husband Emmett H. Morton, Jr.; her daughter Betsy Morton; and her brothers, McKay Morgan and Gilbert S. Morton.
She is survived by: her sons, Chip Morton (Debbie) of Maxton and Doug Morton (Celeste) of Pinehurst; her grandchildren, Tiffany Morton-Hansman (Scott), Taylor Morton and Cameron Morton; her great grandchild Penelope Flora Morton-Hansman; and her sister Evalyn "Snooky" Abbott. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews and loving extended family.
