He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Strong and Mary Lowery Hunt; and his close friend Sarah Bullard. He is survived by: his sister Connie Strong of Fairmont; his cousin David Strong (Lori) of Maxton; his stepchildren, Walter Allen Benton and Melinda Ann Benton of Fayetteville; and his grandfather John. He is also survived by niece, two granddaughters, two grandsons, and a host of other relatives and friends.
