He was predeceased by: his parents, Nolan Bryant and Nettie Locklear; his children, Susan Counts and Dewey Locklear; his brother Johnny Locklear; his stepdaughter Theresa Lynn Barton; and his grandsons, James Lee Hunt and Christopher Max Bullard.
He is survived by: his wife Annie Barton Locklear; his daughters, Lora Locklear (Melvin) of Red Springs, Janice Locklear (Chris) of Raeford and Penny Porter (Anthony) of Fayetteville; his stepchildren, Jessie Bullard of Maxton, Chris Bullard of Maxton, Judy Bullard of Maxton and Dale Henry (Ronnie) of Maxton; his siblings, Bobby Locklear (Elizabeth) of Fayetteville, Rabon Locklear (Mary) of Virginia, Carlos Ray Bryant (Donna) of Maxton, Ken Bryant (Evon) of Maxton, Lindoyle "Cubbie" Bryant of Maxton, Brenda Lee (David) of Raeford and Rudine Cooper of Maxton; his son-in-law Nigel Counts of Raeford; and his stepgranddaughter Lynne Barton. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
