With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Conner Shane Chavis of Maxton, North Carolina, who passed away on October 26, 2023 at the age of 17. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brother Logan Christopher Chavis; and his grandfathers, Bobby H. Locklear and Rev. George Bruce Chavis. He is survived by: his parents, Christopher Chavis and Vanessa Chavis; his grandmothers, Eva Mae Locklear of Maxton and Barbara Ann Chavis of Rowland; his aunts and uncles, Donna Hunt (Pete) of Maxton, Pamela Maynor (Dino) of Lumberton, Amy R. Locklear of Maxton, Bobby H. Locklear II (Erica) of Maxton and Stevie Freeman (Cynthia) of Maxton; and his cousins, Deanna, Tristan, Ryan, Aiden, Brennin, Stephen Cody, Chanston and Chelese. He is also survived by relatives, friends and classmates.
