She was predeceased by: her husband James Ward Sheffield; her mother Rosie Lee Locklear; and her brother Mitchell Jones. She is survived by: her sons, James Shawn Sheffield (Edith) of Maxton, Jonathan Ward Sheffield (Emily) of Maxton and Corey Alan Locklear of Maxton; her father Samuel Locklear (Janice); her siblings, Maurice Locklear (Sandra) and Rhonda Locklear; her foster brother Joseph Locklear of Maxton; and her grandchildren, James Jackson "JJ" Sheffield, Amberly Sheffield, Brilea Jernigan, Shylon Sheffield, Emiyah Sheffield, Alona Sheffield, Rosealeah Sheffield and Elijah Owens.
