She was predeceased by : her parents, John Locklear and Emily Locklear; and her siblings, Deborah Cummings, Edward Locklear (Aworth) and John Pat Locklear. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, June 13th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Thompson's Funeral Home Chapel (2305 Prospect Rd, Pembroke, NC 28372). A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 13th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, June 13th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Preston Cemetery (1671 Preston Rd, Maxton, NC 28364).
