It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betsy Locklear of Maxton, North Carolina, who passed away on May 5, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dock Locklear and Mattie Bell Locklear; and her daughter Joann Locklear. She is survived by: her children, Janice McPherson, Rodney Locklear (Ashely) of Maxton and Watash Locklear (Jessica) of Maxton; and her siblings, Kermit Locklear (Sylvia) of Maxton, Winford Locklear (Diane) of Maxton, Mary Rose Sanderson of Maxton, Savanna Clark (Donald) of Maxton, Peggy Stewart (Dennis) of Maxton and Vera Webber of Laurinburg. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
