He was predeceased by: his parents, Candy Brewer and Carina Locklear Brewer; his wife Essie M. Locklear; his son Bobby Locklear; and his siblings, Willie Locklear, Roscoe Locklear, Isaac Locklear, Emma Jane Carter and Carina Locklear.
He is survived by: his children, Joe Glenn Locklear of Maxton, Rev. Jimmy Locklear (Ann) of Maxton and Bonnie L. Mandis (George) of Virginia. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren as well as a host of relatives and friends.
