It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Louise Lowry of Matthews, North Carolina, born in Montgomery, Alabama, who passed away on March 19, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Richardson and Lessie Woodruff Richardson; and her daughter Diane Whitmire. She is survived by: her husband Earl of Matthews; her son Earl Jr.; her grandchildren, Wesley, Ryan (Keisha) and Jason (Alyssa); her son Michael Lowry (Shelly) of Monroe, NC; her grandsons, Tyler and Andrew (Brooklyn); her children, John Lowry (Amber) of Stanly County, NC and Joanne Lowry; her grandchildren, Des and Noah; her daughter Patty Carter (Frank); her grandchildren, Tori, Eli, Jennifer Rollins (Brooks) and Jonathan Bost (Melissa); her son-in-law James Whitmire; and her sister Linda Lang (Dan) of Richmond, VA. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
