It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Dees Hovis (Matthews, North Carolina), born in Latta, South Carolina, who passed away on February 17, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband David A. Hovis; and her siblings, Annie D. Anderson, Lucille D. Fore, Martin Heyward Dees and William Thomas Dees, Sr..

She is survived by: her sons, Randall D. Hovis of Fort Mill, SC and Martin F. Hovis of Stuart, FL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
