She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph R Gathers and Dorothy W Gathers Crutchfield; her stepfather William Crutchfield; her siblings, Shirley G Chavis, Elijah R Gathers and Dana E Crutchfield; and her son-in-law Jerome Gary.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin L Elmore (Remedios), Kim Elmore-Ross (Michael) and Karla E Gary. She is also survived by grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
