He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Roberson and Essie Dukes Roberson; and his wife Anna Sherard Roberson. He is survived by: his children, Patricia Barber, David Roberson, Sharon Coleman (Gregory), Kimberly Roberson, Glenn Roberson, Kerry Roberson and Carol Sherard; his grandchildren, Michael Roberson, Frank Barber Jr. (Rebel), Bryan Coleman, Lauren Coleman, Ronnie Coleman (Carol), Lathan Wood (Kelli) and Ashley Wood; his siblings, Dorothy Cooper (Rudolph) and Roosevelt Roberson; and his sister-in-law Eddie Lee Gray. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.

At the end of the Covid pandemic he sold his home in Stone Mountain and moved back to Evanston, Illinois.
