We are sad to announce that on May 12, 2022, at the age of 71, Robert Eugene Mathews (Matthews, North Carolina), born in Indianapolis, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Vernon Mathews and Mary Mathews; his wife Jan; his children, Stacey (Jeff Klein), Kari (Chuck Ricks), Cory (Becky Mathews) and Kyle (Stephanie Mathews); his grandchildren, Ben, Karina Klein, Sam, Josh, Joey, Leah Klein, Rhyannon, Leo, Amelia Ricks and Taylor Mathews; his sister Becky Birdsell; and also Mary Mathews. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and friends.

In Lieu of Flowers the Family requests donations in Bob's memory be given to Wake Forest Baptist Lymphoma Research Program in Winston Salem, NC.
