It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Evans Jr. (Matthews, North Carolina), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on November 23, 2019, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Amanda Lois Evans and Richard Ellis Evans, Sr.; his wife Vicki Evans; his children, Elyse Whitlock (Scott Whitlock), Chris Evans (Julie Evans) and Andrew Evans (Paloma Evans); his sister Patricia Baldwin; his grandchildren, Zack Whitlock (Melissa Innerasky), Sam Whitlock, Caleb Whitlock, Benjamin Evans, Caroline Evans, Gabe Evans and Mia Naomi Evans; and his great grandchildren, Vigo Whitlock and Lyra Whitlock.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Police Benevolent Fund or Gideons International .
