With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard D. Hiney of Matthews, North Carolina, born in Akron, Ohio, who passed away on December 29, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Hiney and Eva Hiney; and his former wife Patsy Hiney. He is survived by: his wife Raye Hiney; his children, Stephen Hiney (Cathy), Mitchell Ramsey, Donna Ramsey Winecoff (Jeff) and Jeffrey Ramsey; his grandchildren, Doug Hiney, Jennifer Evans (Cory), Ashley Hood (Eric), Barclay Brantley and Dana Bigelo (Blaine); his great grandchildren, Tucker Evans and Baylor Evans; and his siblings, Della Mae Coffman (Dick) and Robert Hiney (Brenda).
