He was predeceased by: his parents, George Capin and Calista Capin (Morris); his wife Mary Jeanne Capin; and his siblings, George Capin, Helen Cobaba, Guy Capin and Bobbie Capin.
He is survived by: his children, Sheryll Harrell (Bud), Gregg Capin (Diana) and Mark Capin (Oriana); and his brothers, Jim Capin and Joe Capin. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.
