He was predeceased by: his parents, William Mennitt and Mary Hickey Mennitt; and his wife Phyllis. He is survived by: his children, Ray Mennitt Jr. (Tammie) of Unionville, NC, Mark Mennitt (Ellen) of Waxhaw, NC, Christine Murray (Michael) of Durham, NC and David Mennitt (Eve) of Charlotte; and his grandchildren, Aaron, Jack, Sam, Alex, Demi and Nora. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
Whether singing with the group "Still Standing" before they disbanded, playing poker with the guys, or meeting his friends weekly for breakfast until COVID put a stop to it; Ray lived his life in service and the company of others.
