He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Bobby" Nelson and Wilma Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Tina Nelson; his children, Jeremy (Brandy), Micah (Maranda) and Cody (Brittany); his grandchild Kylee Ryan (Jack); his great grandchild Lincoln; his grandchildren, Seth Nelson, Brian Nelson (Julia), Sarah Nelson and Jack Mickovic; and his pet Duke.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be made to Resurrection Church in honor of Mike.
