He is survived by: his parent Annie Jane Lemmond Bailes; his wife Doris McCall Bailes; his children, Melvin David Bailes (Sarah), Robin Walters (Jack) and Tammy Kelbaugh (Jeff); his siblings, Walter Brown Bailes (Annie), Betty Cook and Ann Kirkpatrick; and his child Faris Road of Greenville, SC. He is also survived by six grandchildren; a great grandson.
