She was predeceased by: her parents, John Clardy and Maddie Clardy; her former husband Dewi Barton Barber; and her son Brantly Brodt Braswell of Cary. She is survived by: her husband John Thomas Braswell; her daughter Lois Yvonne Barber McWhirter (Anthony Dwayne McWhirter) of Mint Hill; her granddaughters, Mary Kristin Thomas (Jobey Thomas) of Charlotte, Heather Lynn Davis (Clinton Davis) of Peachland and Natalie Mae Harrington (Christopher Harrington) of Monroe; her great grandchildren, Isabella Thomas, Elisabetta Thomas, Jobey Thomas Jr., Graham Davis Jr., Corbin Davis, Hayven Harrington, Hollis Harrington and Dalton Harrington; her daughters, Beverly B Applestone of Atlanta and Shelley A. Whittington of Winston Salem; and her grandchildren, Brantly Braswell, Davis Braswell, Austin Applestone, Ansley Applestone, Brandon Whittington, Carter Whittington and Courtney Combs.
