With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Martha Rose (Miller) Smiley of Matthews, North Carolina, born in Glendale Springs, North Carolina, who passed away on August 24, 2023 at the age of 86. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Kenneth Miller and Cleo Miller; her husband David Smiley; her children, Jeff Smiley and Karen Edwards (Howard); her grandchildren, Nathan Gunzenhauser and Claire Mabon (Connor); her brother L. Thomas Miller; and her nephew Chris Miller (Christy).
