He is survived by: his wife Joan Stroupe Hoover; his daughter Terri Hoover Reynolds of Boone, NC; his grandchildren, Bethany Reynolds Mosteller (Chris) of Waxhaw, NC and Abbey Reynolds Mitchell (Ryan) of Charlotte, NC; his great grandchild Brandon Hoover Reynolds (Lea) of Albuquerque; his grandchild John-Michael Barnes Reynolds (Emily) of Blowing Rock, NC; his son Alan Lloyd Hoover (Kathryn) of Dublin; his grandchild Meredith Hoover Yonushonis (James) of Columbus; his son Kelsey Hoover Kula (Kevin) of Columbus, Ohio; his grandson Christopher Redmond Hawkins Hoover (Christine) of Columbus; his son Reverend Donald Leon "Donnie" Hoover (Valerie) of Woodstock; his grandchildren, Brittni Garber Hoover of Columbia, SC, Brianna Stroupe Hoover of Woodstock and Brock Leon Hoover of Woodstock, Georgia; his great grandchildren, Clare Elizabeth Yonushonis, James David Yonushonis, Mary Kathryn Yonushonis, Adeline Therese Yonushonis, Joseph Alan Yonushonis, Callyn Joan Mosteller and Kai Vallejos Reynolds; and his siblings, Evelyn Ann "Dolly" Windle of Concord, NC and William David Hoover of Asheboro, NC.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
