He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie S. Cauthen and William Melvin Cauthen; and his brothers, William B. Cauthen and Danny M. Cauthen. He is survived by: his wife Joye Carnes Cauthen; his children, Kimberly Garner (Chris) of Weddington and Christopher (Sharon) of Weddington; and his grandchildren, Grace Garner, Emma Garner, Anna Cauthen and Ryan Cauthen. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
