He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Clyde Arant and Lola Killough Arant; his wife Ruth; and his brother Cecil Arant. He is survived by: his son Rusty Arant (Pam) of Mint Hill; his grandson Joshua Arant (Carol); his great grandchildren, James, Elizabeth and Luke of Puerto Rico; his grandson Aaron Arant (Marion); his great grandchildren, Mac and Knox of Charlotte; and his siblings, Bill Arant (Peggy), Richard Arant (Lynn), Gary Arant (Kay), Perry Arant (Sherry) and Yvonne Miles (Ronnie). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
