He was predeceased by: his parents, Verner Joseph Cooley and Ethel Nicholas Cooley Pritchard; and his brothers, Gary Cooley and Kenneth Cooley, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Burch Cooley; his children, Sean Cooley (Austin) and Skye Humphries (Jeremy); his brother Phillip Cooley (Jane) of Sumter, SC; his sisters-in-law, Marsha Cooley Fitch of Sumter, SC and Elizabeth B. Arant of Lancaster, SC; and his grandchildren, Ryker Conrad Cooley, Rhea Jade Cooley and James Merritt Humphries. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
