She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady C. Clay and Gine Nakashima; her grandparents, John Clay, Johnnie Mae Clay, Kirisaburo and Fukue Nakashima; and her aunt Bertie Clay.
She is survived by: her former husband John McClure; and her children, Tiombe, Aaron and Matthew. She is also survived by cousins, other extended family members and friends.
During the pandemic, Helen halted her quilting and crocheting to make masks for nursing homes, family, friends and anyone who would ask.
Every Christmas Helen donated her hand-made hats, quilts and scarves, whether sewn or crocheted, to the homeless, seniors in hospitals and various centers and others in need.
