We are sad to announce that on June 24, 2020, at the age of 90, Harry Shields Barr Jr. (Matthews, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Shields Barr Sr. and Effie Griffin Barr. He is survived by: his son Shields Barr (Deanie) of Matthews, NC; his granddaughter Constance; his son Jefferson Barr (Lisa) of New Jersey; his wife Katherine Whitworth Barr; his daughter Claire Whitworth Helm (Scott) of Charlotte; his grandsons, Zachary and James; and also Constance Moore Barr.
In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome at The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, or any local arts organization.
