He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard George and Kitty Mae Covil Lewis; and his brothers, John Troy Lewis of Wilmington, NC, Clayton Lewis of Winnabow, NC and Stacey Lewis of Winnabow, NC..
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Christenbury Lewis; his children, Velvet Lynne Lewis, Larry Bryant Lewis and Kelly Mitchell Lewis; and his stepdaughter Jennifer Allene Christenbury. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
