Edward James Morris Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 26, 2022, at the age of 85, Edward James Morris (Matthews, North Carolina), born in Manhattan, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father John Joseph; his son-in-law Mark Lay; and his nephew Ken Neiss. He is survived by: his wife Frieda Morris; his children, Kathy Morris of Charlotte, NC, Edward James Morris, Jr. (Simone) and Kelly Lay of Indian Trail, NC; his grandchildren, Jessie (Ben Anderson), Sean Morris (Emily), Dallas Lay and Haylee Morris; his great grandchildren, Blakely Morris and Tilly Anderson; his sister Wynne Neiss of Albany, NY; and his nephew Tom Neiss (Elaine) of Albany, NY. He is also survived by many sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorials be made to Matthews UMC for the Welcome Center Renovation Project or The United Methodist Men's Ministry.
