He was predeceased by: his parents, Avery Cletus and Estelle Towery Yelton; his wife Frances Isaacs Yelton; and his son Keith A. Yelton. He is survived by: his daughters, Beverly (Henry Byrum) of Waxhaw, NC, Donna (Jack Nunn) of Waxhaw, NC and Kim (Todd Rogers) of Indian Trail, NC.; his grandchildren, Chris Byrum (Michelle), Jeanette Byrum, Trevor Nunn (Stephanie), Spencer Nunn, Carley Nunn and Allyson Yelton; his great grandchildren, Jake Byers, Clay Byrum and Dawson Hagler; his brother Wayne Yelton (Irene); and his siblings-in-law, Bud Isaacs (Pansy) and Jean Isaacs of Morganton, NC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Heritage Funeral Home (3700 Forest Lawn Dr, Matthews, NC 28104). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the American Heart Association, 128 South Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC 28233-3549, Council on Aging of Union County, 1401 Skyway Drive, Monroe, NC 28110, or Rock Rest Nursing and Rehabilitation, 204 E.
