With heavy hearts, we announce the death of DeWitt M. Tarlton (Matthews, North Carolina), who passed away on February 22, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Tarlton and Kate Tarlton; his son Dewitt "Dee" Tarlton Jr.; and his siblings, Jimmy Tarlton, Brady Tarlton, Johnny Tarlton, Nellie Shields, Margaret Starnes and Dorothy Bethea.
He is survived by: his daughter Judy Helms (Gene); his grandchildren, Jody McLemore, Jacob Helms, Michael Tarlton and Randy Tarlton; and his sisters, Betty Lee Starnes (McRae) and Doris Staton (Lynn). He is also survived by 5 great-granddaughters.
