He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Marvel; his brother Mark; his son David Andrew; his mother Bernice; his sister Kathy Burns (Jerry); his wife Sandra Schoonover Paulson; his children, Ingrid Paulson (Alex), Erik, Julia and Chris; and his grandchildren, Ryland and Whittaker Pugh. He was also cherished by his wife, children, grandchildren, and dogs.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to The Michael J. Fox Foundation.
