She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Haigh and Louisa Haigh; and her son David. She is survived by: her husband Brooke Sykes Sr.; her children, Cheryl Thurman (Jerry) of Olon, Ecuador, Diane Alexander (Clay) of Rock Hill, SC, Brooke Sykes Jr. (Gail) of Columbia, TN and Brenda True (Mark) of Charlotte, NC; her brother Charles Haigh (Denise) of Rhode Island; and her grandchildren, Dale, Brooke Ann, Jesse, Katie, Rachel, Charlie, Shelby, Brandon, Alex and Kyle. She is also survived by friends as well as her church family.
