Audrey Matthieu Hooks Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 29, 2021, at the age of 85, Audrey Matthieu Hooks of Matthews, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Matthieu and Eva Abshire Matthieu of Rayne; her husband Paul B. Hooks; her son Tom Hooks; her granddaughter Jenny Bobo; her brothers, Numa "Blackie" Mathieu and Curtis Matthieu; and her grandparents, Camile, Margarite Abshire, Numa and Nathilia Mathieu.
She is survived by: her children, Doug Hooks, Debbie Hooks Bobo, Cindy Hooks Lee, Tim Hooks, Terri Hooks, Julie Hooks Edwards, Nora Hooks Whitley and Mitchell Whitley; her grandchildren, Megan, Scott, Chris, Alex, Doc, Eva, Brittany, Jared, Ryan, Zachary, Andrew, Amber and Austin; her great grandchildren, Tyler, Dylan C., Kirsten, Gabe, Devon, Dylan H., Claire and Genesis; her great great grandchild Reese; and her siblings, Bernis Matthieu and Barbree Matthieu Layne. She is also survived by 7 Nephews and 4 Nieces.
Those who knew Audrey will remember her as a feisty Cajun woman from Crowley, Louisiana who set the foundation for each of her children's lives by regularly attending church and teaching them to put their faith and trust in God.
