As we bid Alice farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Alice is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elvin Lowery and Cordie Lowery. She is survived by: her husband Jay Reed; her children, April (Tim Lovings), Jill (Mark Cory) and Patrick (Julia Reed); her sister Faye Fitch; and her friend Barbara Huffman. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and numerous extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home (3700 Forest Lawn Dr, Matthews, NC 28104). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at the Forest Lawn East Cemetery.
