As we bid Stephen Douglas farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Stephen Douglas is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jiles Vander Griffin Jr. and Julia Belle Meggs Griffin; his wife Debra Kay Griffin; and his stepfather Marshall Boyce Godwin. He is survived by: his children, John William Galliher (Adrianne), Tamara Bedford (Terry), Ryan Galliher, Deidra Galliher-Harris and Ian Griffin (Angelique); and his sisters-in-law, Karen Moore and Brenda Godwin. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
