He is survived by: his wife Jackie Carpenter Horne; his children, Matthew Robert Horne (Kaila) and Kristen Horne Hendrick (Blair); his grandchildren, Tucker, Thomas, Tanner Horne, Heidi and Harrison Hendrick; his parents, James Robert and Frances Sossoman Horne; and his siblings, Deborah Cox (Bob), Donna Cohl (Gary), Randy Horne (Iris) and Dianne Marion.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the church's Faith for Generations project, (1636 Old Hwy 74, Marshville, NC 28103), so that the community's future generation of children will have a place to come to know Christ, just as he did.
