Richard High Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard High (Marshville, North Carolina), born in Norfolk, Virginia, who passed away on September 4, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Okey John and Verla Huggins High; his former wife Ella Ruth Austin High; his sister Jane Morgan; and his stepmother Mildred Rushing High.
He is survived by: his wife Billie Ann Drake High; his sons, Perry High (Angie) and Tero High (Amy); his grandson Logan Heath High; his sisters, Sandy Collins, Janet Fiedler and Martha Hinson; and his pet Gibbs. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to either Gilboa United Methodist Church, 5515 Gilboa Road, Marshville, NC 28103 or Hospice of Union County, 700 West Roosevelt Blvd, Monroe, NC 28110.
