With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth Tarleton (Marshville, North Carolina), who passed away on May 24, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Sandy Meggs and Jennie Belle Edwards Meggs; her husband James Titus Tarleton, Jr.; her sons, Jerry, Terry and Greg Tarleton; her grandchildren, Rebecca Tarleton and Chadwyck Mauldin; and her siblings, Thomas Richard Meggs, Joseph Henry Meggs, Mary Bessie Turner and Julia Lillie Sheppard.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Tarleton, Joe Tarleton, Pamela T. Mauldin (Rodney) and Sandy T. Tennant; and her grandchildren, Andrea Leigh, Jeremy Tarleton (Maria), Jennifer Rodriguez (Matias), Justin Tarleton (Crystal), Emily Whitley (Matt), Sarah McCarn (Evan), Jessica Thomas, Ashley Tarleton and Jacob Griffin. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and close relatives.
