He is survived by: his wife Shirley Stegall Pope; his daughter Dawn Pope Woodward (Melvin); his grandchildren, Melissa Guffey Potisek (Nick), Miranda Guffey Lawrence (Brandon), Daniel Yates Guffey (Deana) and Darren Joseph Guffey (Hannah); and his great grandchildren, Kaleigh Penland, Finn Potisek, Makenna Lawrence, Piper Potisek, Bowen Lawrence, Declan Potisek, Lennox Guffey, Tucker Guffey, Edison Guffey, Callum Potisek and Lillian Guffey.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Philadelphia Baptist Church (5709 Philadelphia Church Rd, Marshville, NC 28103). A graveside service was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
