She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Earl Edwards and Sarah Kathryn Thompson Edwards; and her siblings, Michael, Randy Edwards, Kathy Cannon and Linda Wortman.
She is survived by: her children, Sammy Strawn (Stephanie), Danny Wayne Burgess, Jr. and Kathryn Elizabeth Godwin; her grandchildren, Hanna Strawn, Joshua Strawn (Brittney), Brooke Godwin, Dalton Godwin and Hailee Godwin; her great grandchild Bishop Godwin; and her siblings, Melvin Edwards, Terry Edwards, Robin Watts, Tracy Strawn and Jeff Edwards.
