She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Clyde and Leta Tweed Reed; her husband Edward Bruce Maxwell; and her brother Paul Reed. She is survived by: her sons, Dwayne Maxwell (Pam), Lorne Maxwell (Angela) and Darrell Maxwell (Darlene); her grandchildren, Miranda McDonald (Stephen), Kasey Hall (Dylan), Meredith Maxwell, Amber Alford (Glenn), Michael Carter (Alex) and April Howell; her great grandchildren, Kinzlee, Jaxon McDonald, Emersyn, Holston Hall, Lyric Weathersbee, Miles, Lilly Alford, Grace Rhett and Gywn Carter; and her close friend Sharon Brim.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service (7626 NC-213, Mars Hill, NC 28754). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery (3757 Eller Ford Rd, Weaverville, NC 28753).
