He was predeceased by: his parents, Aaron Tweed and Murphy Fox Tweed; his siblings, Richard, Willard, Evelyn, Vernell, Inez and Gladys; and his grandson Gary David Toon.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Williams Tweed; his children, DeLee Toon (Dennis) of Asheville, Brenda Elkins (Lonnie) of Marshall, Christine Buckner (Danny) of Marshall, Dewayne Tweed (Debbie) of Mars Hill and Steve Tweed of Marshall; and his grandsons, Dustin Toon, Jeff Elkins, Isaac, Dylan Tweed, Aaron, Nolan Tweed and Conner Reynolds. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.
