He was predeceased by: his parents, Burns Hunter and Nannie Ball Hunter; and his siblings, Vincent "Buddy", Leonard Hunter, Ruby Ball and Genell Lewis.
He is survived by: his significant other Arlene Freeman Hunter; his children, Jesse Hunter and Teressa Hunter; his grandchildren, Audrey Hunter Baker (Cliff), Nathan Hunter, Julie Hunter, Dustin Hunter (Bethany) and Jonathan Hunter (Jessica); his great grandchildren, Renee Livesay, Silver Hardison, Ellen Beth Faircloth (Jerad), David Hardison, Chloe Hunter, Lily Hunter and Hannah Grace Hunter; his great great grandchildren, Emily Livesay, Saphira Autry, Ronnie, Derek Autry, Elaina, AnnaLeigh Faircloth and Cooper Hardison; his friend Mitchell Reece; and his siblings, Clarence Hunter, Dorothy Warren and Lucille Deal.
