It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Jean Thomas (Marshall, North Carolina), who passed away on August 18, 2019, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Cantrell and Lura Franklin Cantrell; her siblings, Clonia, Buck Cantrell of Marshall, NC, Annie Tweed, Dicey Cantrell of Marshall, NC, Pansey Key and Ruby Hughes of Cleveland, TN.; and her close friend Ann Gunter.
She is survived by: her husband Hilliard Thomas; her children, Hilliard Terry Thomas (Cathy) and Kathy Jean Thomas Gosnell (Tommy); her grandchildren, Ashley Dawn Miller (Dylan) and Thomas "Tommy" Russell Gosnell IV (Bree); her great grandchild Phoenixx Serenity Pressley; her siblings, Patricia Cutshall of Alexander, NC, George Cantrell (Iva), Dennis Cantrell of Greeneville, TN and Titus Cantrell (Anna Mae) of Marshall, NC; her niece Linda Ellis; and her close friend Junior Gunter. She is also survived by several other nieces, nephews and friends.
