It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Ann Brown (Marshall, North Carolina), who passed away on December 5, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arvlee Thomas and Pansy Thomas (Ray Brown); her siblings, Betty Lou Norton, Norma Hayes and Calvin Hal Thomas; her siblings-in-law, Brenda Thomas, Woodrow Norton, Charlie Brown and Kenneth Waldroup; and her aunt Koeppie Shelton.
She is survived by: her siblings, Douglas Thomas (Mary Ann), Barbara Waldroup, Lucy Brown, Paula Tregoning (Keith) and Susie Frisbee (Stevie); her brother-in-law Jim Hayes; and her close friends, Mike, Tina Connor, Ray, Glennis Plemmons and Michelle Pullium. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, Shirley requested that memorial contributions be made to the First Born Baptist Church Benevolent Fund: P.O. Box 2363, Weaverville, NC 28787.
