She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Hudgins and Nish Hudgins; and her husband Roy Mathis. She is survived by: her children, Donald Mathis (Maria), Bettie Williams (Wayne), Maxine Owens (James) and Margaret Shetley (David); and her grandchildren, Lee Mathis (Linda), Donald Williams (Linda), Ann Morgan (Luther), Chris Williams (Amanda), Amanda Shetley (Logan) and Jason Owens. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
