She was predeceased by: her parents, John McAbee and Thelma Rector McAbee; and her nephew Kevin Moore. She is survived by: her husband James Phillips; her children, Charlene Thibodeau (Wilfred), John Robert "Bobby" Phillips (Melonie) and Bernard William Phillips (Gwendolyn); her grandchildren, MeBo Phillips, Amberly Duffy (Bob) and Ruth Baasham (James Randall); her great grandchild Santiago Baasham; her sister Mildred Moore; and her nieces and nephews, John, Robert Moore, Diane Reed and Janet Dawson.
